About
Understanding patient-specific macromolecular structure can lead to improved drug therapies for diseases such as non-small cell lung cancer. This can often be complicated as existing methods can lack the necessary resolution to determine spatial organization of molecules.
In the upcoming Microscopy Masters Webinar, Dr Dan Rolfe, Senior Link Scientist at the Octopus Imaging Facility from STFC (Science and Technology Facilities Council, UKRI), will discuss the work that they have been doing using TIRF single-molecule localization microscopy and FLImP (Fluorophore Localization Imaging with Photobleaching) to position fluorophores with 10 nm resolution. The team have designed a workflow using ONI’s Nanoimager and automated data analysis to map EGFR mutations in cancer that result in new oligomer assembly mechanisms linked to tumor growth.
The session will also include a live Q&A where participants can submit any queries to Dr Rolfe. Join us!
